Plenum Pulse Bag Filter
Plenum Pulse Bag Filter,also known as compartment plenum pulse baghouse,is an advanced off‑line cleaning fabric filtration dust‑removal unit.Distinct from conventional row‑blow pulse‑jet baghouses that perform online cleaning while filtering continues,this plenum‑pulse design divides the housing into multiple independent filter compartments fitted with poppet dampers.When one compartment enters cleaning cycle,its damper closes to isolate that chamber from the main gas stream,achieving offline pulse cleaning.This design delivers thorough dust cake removal and minimizes dust re‑adhesion onto filter bags.It excels at treating flue gas with extremely high inlet dust concentration,widely deployed in cement milling,crushing plants,mineral processing,asphalt mixing and other heavy‑duty production lines where heavy dust loading occurs.
Dust‑laden gas flows into the lower hopper section through the main inlet duct.Coarse‑size particles drop directly by gravity for pre‑settlement,lowering abrasion stress on filter bags.Fine dust rises and adheres to the outer surface of filter bags;purified air passes through filter media and collects in each compartment’s clean‑air plenum before exhausting via induced‑draft fan.As dust cake builds up,system differential pressure increases.When trigger set‑point is reached,PLC controller sends signal to close the poppet damper for one compartment,cutting off gas flow to that chamber.High‑pressure compressed air is then released into the entire clean‑air plenum of this isolated compartment,generating strong reverse airflow to expand and vibrate all filter bags inside the chamber simultaneously.Dislodged dust falls vertically into ash hoppers.After cleaning finishes,the damper re‑opens and the compartment resumes filtration.Compartments are cleaned sequentially,so overall plant operation remains uninterrupted.
Modular compartment‑based construction supports flexible configuration for complex industrial conditions.Filter bags cover full‑range material options:polyester needle felt for normal‑temperature conditions below 130°C;PPS for medium‑temperature sulfur‑bearing flue gas;Nomex aramid for hot‑humid gas;PTFE‑membrane laminated bags for ultra‑low emission requirements;fiberglass for high‑temperature kiln exhaust.Matching filter cages maintain full bag expansion and prevent bag collapse.Each compartment is equipped with reliable poppet dampers and high‑performance pulse valve assembly.Pulse cycle and dwell time can be adjusted to match varying inlet dust load.Thick welded carbon‑steel housing comes with anti‑rust paint;thermal insulation cladding and explosion‑proof accessories are optional for combustible dust applications.
